Dirk Rice, Vice Chairman
Dirk currently serves that ICMB Secretary. He has also served on the USGC Trade Policy Advisory Team from 2015-2017. In 2017, Dirk began serving the Asia Advisory Team.
Dirk started farming in 1985 with 400 acres and the beginnings of a 60 sow farrow-to-finish operation. That was the first year his father started using no-till. Whether it was corn, beans or a combination the Rice family has had a significant part of their acres no-till or minimum-till every year since then. In 2012, Dirk planted his first cover crop. In 2018, close to 100% of his bean acres and some of his corn acres will have some type of over-wintering cover crop.
