The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, are playing an exhibition game at the Corn Crib on Thursday, May 10, at 10 a.m. The CornBelters will play their first regular season game at the Corn Crib on Friday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. The CornBelters and The Corn Crib are two venues that provide opportunities for farmers and consumers to have conversations about farmers, farming, and food.
The Normal CornBelters are set to play the River City Rascals Thursday, May 10, at 10:00 a.m. Many local schools and students will flood the stadium for Education Day. Jason Estes, the CornBelters “Player for a Day” will make an appearance on the field and in the batting line up at some point during the game. Kids will also enjoy a meet-and-greet with the players and Corny, be able to play at the McDonald’s/Little Jewels Family Fun Zone, complete Belters Brainball education worksheets, have their faces painted by the Zoo Lady, and all kids are invited to run the bases and toilet paper the whole park after the game!
The CornBelters exhibition game will be a preview of this season’s entertainment and the 2012 team. Due to the overwhelming popularity of this game with area schools, Box Seats are sold out.
