The nation’s top crop and the farm families who grow it returned to the U.S. capital with tremendous success in 2012 for what was the fourth year in a row as part of the Corn Farmers Coalition educational program. Plans are in the works to return CFC to DC again this summer.
This $1 million program is a unique alliance funded exclusively by farmers with corn checkoff dollars and presents an innovative and positive message about modern, family corn farming to leaders in Washington, DC. The target audience consists of Congressmen and Senators, their staff, Agency officials from USDA to EPA, lobbyists, think tanks and environmental groups.
In 2012, through a campaign of print, online, outdoor and radio advertising, the program achieved a remarkable 53 million media impressions. This is in comparison to 46 million impressions in 2011.
