GRAIN HANDLING TRAINING SCHEDULED FOR JULY 28

Illinois Corn Growers Association is a member of the Grain Handling Safety Coalition. The Coalition is offering a safety training session in Mount Carroll this coming Tuesday, July 28.

The FREE grain handling safety training is for farmers, farm employees and commercial elevator operators in Carroll County and the surrounding area.  The training is made available through a grant given to GHSC.  Grain safety training is meant to help farmers and commercial elevator employees identify, avoid and eliminate the hazards encountered during the handling and storage of grain.

The training is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 4:30 Pm at the Carroll County Farm Bureau, 811 South Clay Street, Mt. Carroll, IL.

Carroll County’s grain handling safety training will include an overview of grain handling and storage safety, Lock Out/Tag Out, grain bin entry and lifeline use.  Demonstrations, hands-on activity, and NEW training videos will be featured.
