Corn farmers from around Illinois gathered yesterday in their annual grassroots policy process. The policies considered today in small working groups were then considered by the entire state delegate body as a whole. From here, the policies will be forwarded to the National Corn Growers Association for consideration through their action teams and then at Corn Congress in March 2017.

There are over 4,000 voting members of the Illinois Corn Growers Association. Each year those members participate in this policy process not only in Bloomington at the ICGA office, but also by responding to a policy survey. The results of that survey are used to help prioritize the work of ICGA for the coming year.
