The best situation for corn farmers and all U.S. citizens?  Sell more “value-added” corn to other countries hungry for more protein, better cuts of protein, and environmentally friendly fuels.  But the market opportunities with some of our largest customers fluctuate day to day with changes in trade policy around the world.

 

Check out this audio update by Cattlemen’s Beef Board Chair Joan Ruskamp, a cattle producer from Dodge, Nebraska, and CEO Scott Stuart, both first-time visitors to China and Japan. They recently participated in a U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) mission to China and Japan to participate in promotional activities for U.S. beef, meet with prospective buyers and other meat industry representatives and gather ideas for market development in these two countries.
