The Illinois Corn Growers Association (ICGA) was honored for the largest membership increase of all the National Corn Growers Association member states during last week’s Commodity Classic in Orlando.

ICGA grew 232 members in 2018 for a total membership.

“I am really pleased that today when the number of farmers in Illinois continues to decrease, we can increase our membership to this extent,” said Ted Mottaz, ICGA President.  “I hope that this increase speaks to the good work ICGA is doing for farmers, and the way that our staff and our Board of Directors represents you in Springfield, IL, and Washington, DC.”

In recent years, ICGA added a new class of membership, the Lifetime Membership.  This option, along with the 1-year and 3-year membership classes, continues to grow.

Farmers wishing to join the association can do so here.  Farmers purchasing a new or renewing an existing 3-year or lifetime membership also qualify for a seed corn coupon good for $50 off their seed bill.  All members receive cover crop seed discounts annually.
