The Illinois Corn Growers Association and Illinois Corn Marketing Board are excited to announce summer internships for college students in a two- or four-year college or university.

The IL Corn Legislative Internship is an opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in Springfield or Washington, DC, helping our elected officials.  This student will be job shadowing our lobbyists in Springfield, coordinating the Illinois Corn Growers Association Washington, DC fly-in in July, participating in policy development for our association and the National Corn Growers Association, and listening in on weekly strategy sessions.

The best student for this internship is one with an awareness of agriculture, who has already exhibited an interest in policy development or political involvement via relevant course work, volunteering on a campaign, or otherwise showing political engagement.

The purpose of the Communications internship program is to provide an opportunity for a young person to work as a part of the ICMB staff during the summer of 2019. The interns will develop skills in working independently while creating supporting program elements given the goals of ICMB, while handling basic communications and social media applications within the office environment. The intern should expect to enhance their educational portfolio of communications projects with real-world experience at IL Corn.
