Time is running out to submit comments to the U.S. EPA regarding their plan to cut nearly 4 billion gallons of corn-based ethanol from our nation’s fuel supply.

EPA’s plan would cut the equivalent of nearly 1.5 billion bushels of corn, a sum that would almost double our carryout numbers right now. You have until Monday night, July 27th, at 10:59pm (Central Time) to make your comments online. Make your comments at www.ncga.com/rfs and listen to this audio update to learn more.

In his direct email to members, ICGA President Kenneth Hartman said, “If you’re like me, you don’t need to lose demand for corn with the way corn prices have been looking.”

IL Corn is partnering with the National Corn Growers Association to provide you with a simpler, online way to submit your comments. Just go to www.ncga.com/rfs and follow the onscreen prompts.

The U.S. EPA is pandering to Big Oil. We need you to tell them that the RFS works for rural America, motorists, and for the environment. Don’t roll back the corn ethanol numbers.

Please make your comments using the online portal at www.ncga.com/rfs by Monday night at 10:59pm (Central Time) so that your voice can be heard on this issue.
