If you’re nervous about your farm’s profitability this year – and we know you are – you’ll want to remember that exports drive on farm income and IL Corn is continuously working on new export markets through their partnerships with U.S. Grains Council, U.S. Meat Export Federation, and U.S.A. Poultry and Egg Export Council.

One in three U.S. farm acres is planted for export.  And in Illinois, that number is even higher due to our unique position on the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.

Thirty one percent of U.S. gross farm income comes directly from exports.  You’ll want to start watching this video at about 1:25 to see why it is so important that the U.S. step up their game to continue to be a world leader in the export market.

The world is getting bigger.  The world is getting richer. The world is getting more competitive.  Illinois farmers will want to stay the course, continuing investment in the global market.
