ILLINOIS BEEF ASSOCIATION OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS AND INTERNSHIP

The IBA offers four $1,000 general scholarships to high school seniors and college students. IBA will also award a $500 scholarship in memory of Terry Clemons and a $500 scholarship in memory of 1990 IBA President Marion Butler. Residents of Ogle county have the opportunity to apply for a $500 scholarship.

Eligible IBA youth must be from a family that is actively involved in beef production and currently an IBA member, can not be a previous winner of an IBA scholarship, and must complete the application and write an original essay.

IBA will offer an internship to a college student to begin mid-May and run through the Illinois State Fair. The intern will work in IBA's communications, activities, and youth programs. To be eligible applicants must be a full-time student at a college or university, be an Illinois Junior Beef Association (IJBA) member, be from a family that is actively involved in beef production, and complete the application.
