At next week’s start of NASCAR’s “Chase,” veteran driver Kenny Wallace will be representing corn farmers again. This time, Kenny will be driving the American Ethanol truck in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on Friday night, September 13.

Wallace is headed toward a historic 900th NASCAR start, and Illinois corn farmers can celebrate with him. The American Ethanol truck start will be Wallace’s 899th start, and the Nationwide race on Sept 14 in the Toyota Cares/American Ethanol car will be Kenny’s official 900th start. Follow along with Kenny in social media using the #Roadto900 hashtag on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

Illinois corn will be having conversations with NASCAR fans about farmers and farming at the race weekend where tens of thousands of fans will be visiting. Ethanol is the main topic this year…on your behalf, IL Corn will be sharing great information about ethanol being a high performance fuel that’s good for the environment, good for the economy, good for energy independence, and most importantly, good at reducing prices at the pump!

Speaking of pump prices, have you checked E-85 prices in your area yet? At many gas stations, E-85 is a great buy right now. If your station isn’t one of them, go inside and ask why! Look for E-85 prices online at www.e85prices.com and find out more about IL Corn’s program at www.ilcorn.org/flexfuel.
