NASCAR DELIVERING MORE CONSUMER ACCEPTANCE OF E-15

Oct 19, 2012  |  Today's News

American Ethanol, and our newest fuel in this country, E-15, is taking center stage again this weekend with national television exposure. E-15 is an important growth market for ethanol in this country, as we’ve hit the blend wall with E-10. But will that be relevant in 2013? Depends on who you ask.

The out-come of the November election will no-doubt have a lot to do with how well E-15, and ethanol in general, will play in Illinois and beyond. Anti-ethanol interests are tuning up their song, and growing their choir to epic proportion to sing the song loud and proud against ethanol.

We know not much more can happen before the election. Congress isn’t even in town. And in the lame duck? However much action we can expect on legislation is anybody’s guess, but will no doubt reflect who wins in November. But 2013 and the new Congress brings new challenges.

Now’s the time to remind your friends, neighbors, community leaders, and the person sitting next to you on your next flight, that ethanol and by extension, corn, plays an important role to the U.S. economy. It means lower gas prices, higher local, national, and federal revenues, higher farm-income, jobs, and salaries.

Here’s the rundown on what’s happening this weekend with E-15 and American Ethanol within NASCAR.

Kenny Wallace Quotes:

"I'm really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the American Ethanol Toyota Camry at Kansas Speedway. The end of the year is coming, and this always an exciting time to race. I appreciate everyone at RAB Racing and the hard work and time they spend working on our Toyota Camrys, because it doesn't take any time to get comfortable in the car after having been out of it for a few races, because the guys know me. I'm planning on going out there, having a good run, and ending the season on a good note."
