As the year comes to an end, will trade opportunities for U.S. agricultural products come to an end with it? That’s a big question with an unclear answer. The uncertainty surrounding trade agreements and export markets is hitting home as corn piles are growing in the countryside and prices remain stubbornly low.

At a recent national meeting of farm broadcasters, commodity group leaders took many questions on this topic. In this report from USDA broadcaster Rod Bain, you’ll hear answers to how members of the ag sector see ag trade developments and discussions of recent months perhaps impacting their business going forward. You’ll hear from Tim Lust of the National Sorghum Producers, Colin Woodall of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, Kevin Skunes of the National Corn Growers Association, Randy Gordon of the National Grain and Feed Association, Chris Kolstad of US Wheat Associates, Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst and Dennis Stiffler of the US Meat Export Federation.
