If you are a student from Illinois who is interested in helping connect non-farmers and farmers to talk and share information, you qualify for an Illinois Corn Marketing Board fall 2017 social media internship!

Applications are due on May 1 and can be found at http://www.ilcorn.org/education/higher-education.

Our fall social media interns will be using Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest to talk to non-farmers about agriculture.  Understanding and using social media is a must for this internship.  But students are welcome to complete the program from any university; they must only be present in Bloomington for an interview between May 8-10, 2017 and an evaluation of progress on September 29, 2017.

Social media interns are compensated for their semester of work, but the experience should also be viewed as an online portfolio of work to be included on a resume or during a job interview.  Interns can expect to learn more about their social media application as well as techniques for building readership and interactions with fans/followers.
