National Corn Growers Association Chairman Chip Bowling, of Newburg, Maryland, hosted federal officials on his farm this week as part of a field day put on by the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA), the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and NCGA. The day featured demonstrations on seed treatments, planting practices, and equipment innovations that are bringing continuous improvement to sustainable farming practices.

The event offered an opportunity for producers and manufacturers to demonstrate cutting-edge technologies in each respective industry, and how these innovations have made modern agriculture more efficient and sustainable than ever.

Similar in nature to the work of Illinois Farm Families, of which Illinois Corn Marketing Board is a collaborator, this field day offered a chance for no-holds-barred questions and answers about what really happens on corn farms.
