Your call to Senators Duckworth and Durbin could encourage their support of export programs in the future.

The Cultivating Revitalization by Expanding American Agricultural Trade and Exports (CREAATE) Act was introduced on September 19 and would increase funding for the Market Access Program (MAP) and Foreign Market Development (FMD) programs which would significantly benefit the ag economy.  Potential impacts are:

  • Increase average annual export value by $3.4 to $4.5 billion
  • Increase farm cash income of $500 million to $700 million
  • Increase in U.S. grow domestic product of $4.5 to $6.0 billion
  • Create up to 85,000 new and part-time jobs

Please call Senators Duckworth and Durbin.  Ask them to co-sponsor the CREAATE Act to increase funding for MAP and FMD programs.  If this bill becomes law, we believe it will boost trade’s impact on U.S. farmer profitability and create jobs throughout the U.S.
