Today in Macon County, Illinois, farmers joined together to thank Congressman Rodney Davis for his work to benefit the agriculture industry. Len Corzine, a corn farmer from Assumption, Illinois, said that the event “was a chance to publicly thank for the Congressman for the work he’s done. He’s really put things in motion concerning core farmer issues like crop insurance, E15, and infrastructure, including the funding for the LaGrange Lock & Dam.”

Congressman Davis has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2013. In his tenure as a three-term member of the House Agriculture Committee, he has been prominent in the development and passage of the 2014 Farm Bill – a five-year bill that provides certainty to farmers and strengthens the crop insurance program.
Crop insurance has long been a priority for Illinois farmers. The 2014 Farm Bill included improvements to the program and helped many Illinois farmers continue to insure their crops rather than seek disaster assistance payments from the U.S. government.
Thank you to Congressman Rodney Davis for your commitment to Illinois corn farmers!
